Purple bins! That's Angus Council for you. They (we, the council tax payers) probably had to pay extra as they are a 'non-standard' colour and had to be a special order. I am using the (small) grey one in the first picture below as an electrolysis de-rusting solution container (it has the CG125's centre stand in it at the moment and I just did the exhaust for it too - now painted and hanging up in second picture). The green box next to the (small) grey bin was the recycling bin but is now redundant - I use it (along with a wallpaper steamer) to sterilise home-brew bottles. The grey bins (like the de-rusting one) were the general waste bins (I have two, small and large for some reason) but are now the recycling bins. The purple bins are the new general waste bins and are the same size as the small grey bins. There is also a green bin for garden waste which is the same size as the large grey bins - even the homes without gardens got got a green bin, but you have to pay extra for it if you want to use it! It all makes perfect sense, or so I am told - by the council, obviously. Think I need another beer - MB.

I am so happy I mentioned your exceptionally aesthetic purple bin, not an ordinary black, grey or brown one but a true bin of colour in our dark times. Any other multi coloured varieties? Not allowed out a the moment to go train spotting ( not normally allowed out without an escort). Gives me something to do in my few lucid minutes a day. They make such a wonderful backdrop to our machines. Support for our Accesories for sale, mini spray booth and even the disposal of rubbish! I suggest a neutral coloured bin liner with this lovely purple specimen. Time to say goodnight matron
The sooner we can get back to something approaching normality the better, I think. I am starting to forget what the roads beyond the local shops look like...

Thanks again everyone. I had big plans this year for getting out and about on my bikes. I was waiting until all the big jobs on my latest house were complete. Routes were planned, maps sorted out and two bikes ready to roll.. .. then we get the virus lockdown - you could not make it up! Grab it while you can would seem to be the words to use. Like Daniel Defoe in 'A Journal of the Plague Year' (which I have now read again, along with 'The Last Man') I bought loads of flour and plenty of brewing ingredients and have basically shut myself away. The stock of home-brew isn't half taking a punishing right enough - there will be none left for winter. Anyway, I am the shadow in the picture - don't know who the other bike is. MB
What a brilliant use of Black & Decker Workmates, who needs an expensive Motorcycle Work Bench. How on earth do you get it up there though. Also, is that a Suzuki GT250 I spy in the background?
They are cheapo workbenches that were about £10 each. Lift the bike with ratchet straps, but you need four of them and it takes a bit of time. That is the winter bike so no hurry for it at the moment. It is not a GT250 but an SB200 that I am slowly making GT200 spec. Once that is done I will start messing about with expansion chambers - just for fun really, if I want to go fast I just use the Ducati. I am kind of half looking out for a GT500 though. I think there was someone did that in Montrose a few years ago - not me, I hasten to add. MB.
Fortunately I don't live in Montrose, it is just the nearest town. I am further out in the sticks - where the banjos play. MB.
