  4. Rang a local guy about getting some wheels built. I’d used him years ago and was surprised that he was still in business but he’s still at it so I asked him if he wanted the tyres off. He said I’m 82 now I don’t take tyres off ...... 82 ffs !

  6. Find a belt drive if you can .. maybe try used and you’ll find something in budget
I have one of these , It does everything , including whipping off rear wheel nuts on the SSSA with a pretty mediocre impact gun (with a cheap and simple mod) .. not small though

If space is an issue , maybe a vertical machine with a 50l tank like this https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/390358207396

  7. I finished fixing my bike. (More this week but I finished today)
New battery, new phone charging set up, new actual charging dongle.
Checked air cleaner, checked brakes, Replaced blown fuse, Installed extra fuses under the seat.
Installed shelves and hung a Ducati flag in the garage...
Cursed... Bled... (A little, normal working on something gasoline powered blood)

I have 90 minutes till they say it will storm... 60 minute till the GF arrives (No KEY!)

    See you later

    Rex

Yep they do ... the v-twin is a direct drive and they’re v loud
I used to have a belt drive 50l that would suit @comfysofa, lovely bit of kit , bought used for peanuts .....but I went on holiday for a couple of weeks and forgot to switch it off , and a hose leaked ..
It was still running when I got home , but out of oil, hence the above replacement
pic of the Hyundai before I killed it ...

  10. Seven Microsoft Teams Meetings today - a colleague emailed in one to say you aren't meant to yawn during them (need to turn off the webcam :)) Just watched the first episode of Ozark which looks promising. Saw a black and white image of scooters on Twitter and thought I've got a similar one from Vietnam

  12. I am so happy that I don’t have to do video or conf calls anymore.
When I worked for a massive American conglomerate the calls used to be on US time and would last hours.
    Dull with a capital F.

  17. One of my surveillance guys called in sick last night, so I had 2-3 hours free so I helped out on a fastball job.

A gang were getting money out of some guys and forced their way into a flat. So Police arrived within 2 minutes and all hostiles arrested, with weapons. Excellent job.

You don’t realise how hard it is to get a good surveillance spot, when the road is a semi circle shape, all the shops are shut and sod all people to mingle between.

  18. Thanks pally but 300 is out of my league as nice as it would be!!

  19. I saw this post and it reminded me of my M1200, having a flat battery after only a week, even tho the batt was testing as a good un. The shop I bought it from, 300km away, paid a local Yamaha agent to remove a USB charger that had been fitted. Turns out they draw enough current on standby to flatten batteries real quick. So they would need to be installed with a switchable relay I guess? Anyway, I didn't need it so it was removed.
    Happy birthday, by the way!

  20. having just fitted a charger to my Monster Im curious as to how it can draw power when there's nothing connected to charge:thinkingface:; did they give an explanation? I don't want the same thing to happen to me:(
