My son and his mate just off to go to Shoreham (20+ miles each way). Neither of them ever done more than 10 miles. Car and trailer ready for the recovery..
We sure do! It was a fab ride – my daughter accompanied me who has just finished her undergrad studies – so a chilled ride with plenty of stops and chats.
Hopefully someone can help / advise me here. I've been looking at getting myself a mtb to get out on, problem I'm finding at the moment is everywhere seems to be out of stock for the type of thing I'm looking for. I'm pretty tall at 6ft 3 so likely xl frames, hardtail wise I'd prefer a 29er so have been looking at Nukeproof, Vitus and Specialized. Saying that I did read some great reviews the Whyte 905 v2, and also the Trek Roscoe either 7 or 8, but again they're out of stock everywhere and 27.5 plus sized wheels Looking at spending circa £1500 give or take (cycle scheme) If I go for a FS it'd be a relatively low end spec, ideally with rear lockout for when I'm just on basic trails or out with my young daughter, again I've looked at the vitus mythique 29 VRX and VRS, the latter I prefer but no rear lockout even though it's better spec, the VRX has it but really not fan of the green FS I'd probably got to £2000k but I'd much rather get a really great hardtail than just an ok FS...can't commit to throwing myself down mountains on a regular Appreciate the Covid virus wouldn't have helped with shipments, but are new model mtb's usually launched in or around this time? When I see online reviews some start around August for new models so it made me think that the various purchasers might have decided to wait it out for new models coming Rang Evans cycles and leisure lakes and neither unfortunately have any ideas on whether they're getting more stocks of existing 2020 models or what's happening
I’ve just ordered one of these damo, I had a hell of a job finding one in stock. I echo your comment regarding stock, the dealers I spoke to weren’t sure whether or not they would get anymore deliveries of 2020 models. Hopefully I’ll be getting mine in the next couple of days, also I couldn’t get a penny off of the price.
Just found this article, looks like a good time to be a cycle retailer https://www.theguardian.com/lifeand...s-good-bike-sales-soar-as-uk-takes-to-cycling
Probably no stock I should think, about 2 weeks ago I tried getting 29er inner tubes from Halfrauds non in stock. Took a week before they were back in stock.
