Just another layer you have to remove before cleaning the nose out for washing. But heyhoo if it rocks your boat' Perfect for hiding drugs crossing borders, I take it back!
Does the same job as the Evo Tec oil rad guard, but looks much easier to fit. I think they actually look ok.
Horses for courses, some will prefer one, others the other. I like what @Jamie Clare is doing. He seems to innovate a bit and iterate to improve existing products. I have his screen spacers on my DVT, great products.
They look great! They actually finish off the front of the bike - it's how it should be from the factory, in my opinion. If I didn't already have the very lovely Evotech guards on my bike I'd definitely get a set of those. I might still anyway!
I like these, and I have the oil guard already fitted, I just might get these and remove the original guard, which I have in red.
mine arrived yesterday and are installed. i removed the foam strip that was applied to the edges of the grills, it seemed to only complicate the fit, and no matter how hard i tried, that foam edging kept bunching up and sticking out on the edges. i also didn't zip tie the grills as shown in the video. once properly seated, they feel damn secure. if i hit something that causes them to come out, i've got bigger problems.
I like those. I have never gotten around to fitting an oil cooler guard ( have a rad guard tho) and those grilles seem to employ the ideal amount of work I like to do with upgrades
What bike Doctor? Mine arrived yesterday as well, no foam on mine and rather a loose fit. Definitely need the cable tie or they'd fall out instantly. Printing's a bit rough as well. Mines a '16 Enduro.
mine's a 2015 DVT 1200S. it took a couple tries to get the grills in snug. it wasn't obvious how to insert, but i felt a bit of a "click" once they settled in. a bit of a gap on the edges but not really noticeable unless you really look. the foam edging that was originally on the grills made them too large, and the foam just bunched up when i tried to insert the grills.
