  1. I have to admit, when i got my first (Ducati 749s) i really didnt think it coukd get better, well, improved lets say. The 749s was a truely great bike,Ive had fireblades from 2003 untik 2008 over the yrs. NONE compared to the quality of the 2005 grey framed Ducati i had. And then the duke was years ahead re handling & character. Seriuosly.

So i decided to move forwad & when an 848 came up for sale i took the jump!. One owner, small lowside but im hsppy, Aint rode it much yet but will update as i go. Picked it up the wkend but in London all this week with work.

Havimg had the 7499s in Germany,Itaky & Austriain one trip, i'll do tge same with the 848 next yr.

Will keep this thresd up to dste re gurl rsnge etc...

  3. Be interesting to hear your comparisons chassis/comfort/handling/. Cheers, Keith with 999 for life.

  4. Were you giddy with excitement, pissed, or having a wank whilst typing this?

  5. Did the exact same last yr. Still love the 749s but it aint even in the same ballpark as the 848, handling/power/comfort wise. The 848 is just a step up on everything

  6. Congratulations, btw

  7. Enjoy the bike :upyeah:

  8. Same route I will do at some point when funds allow it. Much as I love the 749, the 848 is what I have wanted for a long time and was the bike I should have bought when I got the 1098 a few years back.....

  9. Out of interest any pics of the 749 in touring mode with luggage on your European trip?

  10. Yks all. will reply proper later...

  11. Are you still at it?
