748 Clutch Lever Plunger Thingy

Discussion in '748 / 916 / 996 / 998' started by NeilH, May 28, 2020.

  1. Sorry not sure how to describe these parts!
The round threaded pin (barrel) that goes into the hole in the clutch lever and the plunger rod that screws in to the pin (retains the pin and activates the clutch). Is it possible to buy these separately?
I've changed my levers and it was really hard to unscrew the plunger from the barrel - jut about managed but would be good to replace if they are available.
    Thanks
    Neil

  4. Most levers have a tiny grub-screw that locks the pin into the pivot. Has yours? Did you loosen it before unscrewing the pin?

  5. I will have a look - that might explain the problem......
    Thanks

  6. grub screw removed - much easier to unscrew plunger (thread looks okay)!
    Thanks :)

  7. Yes the dreaded grub screw, great idea but sometimes they are hiding just waiting to piss you off!!:):upyeah:
