Good to see the forum is back up and running ! I reckon the Wales trip is going to be in late August or September, my calendar is totally stacked up until then. It might be better to wait for the school holidays to finish ? PP :biggrin:

This place looks like a decent location to base ourselves..... The Castle Inn | Bed and Breakfast | Bunkhouse | Campsite | Brecon Beacons | Black Mountains How about we stay on a Friday and Saturday night, and return to base on Sunday afternoon, reducing time off work for desk jockeys like me ? All we need to know now is numbers and suitable dates. Checking the website for an arrival on Friday, 31st August or Friday 7th September it says there is availability for 12 of us at £14pp per night with a £5 charge on top for breakfast in one for the 'bunk' rooms. Let's get some initial thoughts on this and I'll book something up. A £50 non refundable deposit is needed to secure the accomodation. PP
Just out of interest I read the comments from the link above. All saying how good it is and the walking is excellent. I would love to see their faces on their peaceful "getting away from it all" weekend walk when 12 Ducs turn up!
