I keep seeing these pop up on Ebay from time to time. Would they be better than the standard 1098 cans? and would i need to make any changes to fit them ie remap air filter ect Ducati 1098r exhaust akrapovic | eBay
Just looked on the Akrapovic web site and the cans featured in your link don't look like anything on the ones on web site 1098r or 1098s. They also don't have the Akrapovic sticker that you would expect or the engraving Akrapovic now use to prevent fake copies. I am sure there are enough 1098 riders here to tell you what is cosher and what is not. Andy
Are they not just the standard Akra cans which are fitted to the 1098R ? They are definitely not the open race Akrapovic's.
some of the ones iv seen have had the engravement on them and they also come with removable baffles my thinking was that the 1098r is made standard more powerful than my one so in theory the cans would be better or at least offer a bit less of a restriction on the flow 4
Yep,they are the ones with cats and fixed baffles :frown: that come fitted standard to the 1098R. The ones that everyone takes off immeadiatly to put on the Termi's that come with it!! :smile:
