it is different and it varies from material brand so all I can say if you want a perfect match.... degrease them.... light coat of primer and stick a top coat on them with a colour matched paint
Don't really get the point of them ? Surely it just ever so slightly hinders the air intake ?? And just gives something else to try and get the bugs out of ??
Yeah you're right about air flow, but I like 'em, sort of finishes the nose off, and they definitely collect bugs!
Given how easy they are to take out, you could hot glue on the back some mesh to stop bugs etc going into the bike and take them out once and a while for a clean ?
I had a look in mine today, there was the ubiquitous wasp in there, plus a couple of small stones, so I ordered the Italian grilles. I like the suggestion of adding mesh behind em too, so will look into adding that if possible
I have mine, they came really quickly Once I had worked out which side went where (durrr) it was only a few seconds to fit 'em Gotta say, i didn't bother with a mesh at the back, they look very effective at stopping any stones making it to the cooler when you see them in the flesh as it were. Any that may make it through the hole will likely have any velocity taken away
They do complete the look of the front imo. The italian ones seem to still have some plastic bristling and rough surfaces. Not as much as the (admittedly prototype) pre dvt ones I've seen. Does anyone know how the surfaces could be given a more factory / polished look?
