Lads I'm not looking to insult anyone but come on 150 quid is plenty for a seat unit the worlds gone mad just cause it ducati it's the same with prices of bikes there's no way they worth what people are asking I'll stick with what I got
Supply and demand mate. I had the same issue several years ago when I was after a mono seat for my 748 bip, think I paid well over 200 for a used one. I don't think they're available new anymore. As you may know,the seat unit usually takes a big hit when the bike goes down so easy to damage. That one at a grand is stupidly overpriced though IMO.

I totally agree with you, I’m sure the seat unit joe has for sale priced spot on in today’s market it actually might be cheap, but I agree I’m always looking at bikes a variety of bikes and frankly it’s mental what bikes and bits are going for or at least the prices been asked. I actually wonder what the situation will be like in a number of years as so many bikes running on petrol will not be welcome in the green age and how many buy for investment but where’s it going? How many bikes can be around in the future for investment all 2 strokes are going mental, 400 cc bikes all going the same way, all r1’s in good nick, blades etc etc what I’m saying is bubble and burst scenario...I know what I’m trying to say but I’m not brightest so can’t get it out properly

To put it into perspective I bought a new o/s MS production seat unit in bare c/f a couple of years back for £400 and then spent £350 having it painted to my spec. to fit my 998. Would I sell it for £750 just to start the process all over again? No. Obviously not. Just buy a cheap Chinese unit which will look shitty, may not fit properly and only last a couple of years. Bikes/bits cost money. I am not running a business here but I am not Mother fucking Theresa either!
