Hi all, Does anyone elses' 1299 make pops & bangs when in overrun or shifting up & down using the quickshifter? Mine has been doing it a lot lately and absolutely loving it, though the only downside is sometimes it runs a bit sluggish, and other times its perfectly fine.
Put a set of termis on it and watch the walkers dive for the hedges !!! fueling is notoriously bad on the 1299,s the guy who remapped mine said it was the worst he'd ever seen !
I'm tempted with a full Akropovic titanium system, but also considering the Termi's. What Termi's you use on yours? Also, I'm thinking of getting it remapped to sort out the lagging issue, any recommendations on who can do the flash work?
Ok that does sound hellish, I'm so torn with either the Akra or Termi. This being my first ever Duc, I'm loving the noise already.
I used a guy here in Ireland called mototuning ! He maps each cylinder individually and has transformed the bike especially at lower speeds ! My termignonis were on the bike when I purchased in Scotland , they are the front facing type I'll stick a picture up and they are super loud !
That looks stunning! Is yours just the mufflers or the full system? Like these; https://conquestracingltd.com/produ...gale-carbon-titanium-race-exhaust-d155102cpt/
Great, I'll probably get those then, replace the exhaust pipework & have it remapped! They're 2K cheaper than the Akra system!
Chap selling the slip ons with upmap for £2400 but with free fitting. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/392726731047
Before you spend thousands on an exhaust, why not try and get the fuelling set up right first, I see you're in Essex so a good bloke to see is Glen in Fordham at Moto-V http://www.moto-v.co.uk/
If you're looking for a remap, I recommend BSD Performance near Peterborough. What Mark Brewin doesn't know about re-mapping isn't worth knowing. Him and Andy did my 1199. Excellent job.
