1199 Flapper Servo

Hello

Take off the lower fairings and it is located at the front of the bike. There is a great video on YouTube on fitting termi's on a 1199 that talks you through fitting the termi's. this includes the removal of the flapper valve motor unit. Basically lower fairings off. I took exhaust off as was putting on an sc project silencer. Clip off a few cable ties. Un plug the motor unit. Un do 4 screws holding the servo motor to the bike these are right at the bottom at the front behind the wheel where the lower fairing is. There is also a metal guide for the cable from the motor to the flapper valve. This need to be undone and then replaced. Easily done. If you don't have a bike lift then lots of lying on you back messing about.

Do you need the plug in part to fool the ecu in to thinking servo is still there ?

 

No you won't get an error on the dash but if you plug in a ducati tool it will show the missing servo.

 

Thanks If you did use the part would it not show on the diagnosis machine when plugged in during a service ?

 

I've done all that removed it all it was just about the fault code when it goes into the dealer
