that's the wettest i've been for a good 5 years, you know when you take your shoe off and you can empty a bit?
yep, been there done that but I was in Wales at the time with 60 miles to ride back through. Those I rode with stopped at a cafe for brew, I didn’t as I knew that would be it they ordered Wife assist
you are sooo right, you know you have to carry on or you will seize up, or even fall asleep rather than face the "second leg". Where can I sign up for WifeAssist? do they have it on the mainland as well?
I think it’s a Russian saying but wherever the source it’s true and goes something like this. ‘There is no bad weather there is inappropriate clothing’ But just like in your photo the deluge for about 15 miles was bad, good memories though and lots of ribbing for the WifeAssist cyclists was had for many years after so all good.
Anyone fancy a Mobike? It’s just sitting there near Weybridge.. this bike belongs to a scheme similar to the hire bikes in London but apparently was abandoned two years ago so no idea if this is stolen or what.
First pedal in almost two weeks. Note to self, don't think you can ride at the same pace as you were during lockdown going out 3 times a week. Puffing after 6 miles, lol. Pleased with the 21,must make sure I get out at least once next week.
Real fitness is hard to acheive and even harder to maintain! Peaks and troughs...... Hoping to get out tomorrow...
