Morning guys and gals Just been fitting the battery back in and the square nut that is on the plus terminal has fallen into the engine area Any ideas where this may have gone as I can't see it and it's not on the floor Failing finding it can I get another one
Probably dropped into the cooling fins on the front cylinder, presumably the nut is steel so if you get a long magnet on a stick you may be able to fish it out?
It's probably only an M6 gutter bolt nut, Viv..........(check the M6)........got loads here if you need one or two. AL
Good luck with fishing nuts out of there ..... Just get new one this one will vibrate out or meld in to the fins
It won't matter if she can't find it.............there will soon be a nut loose on the handlebars anyway.... AL
Lol cheeky lot I have nothing here that's magnetic so I have ordered myself a retractable magnet that looks like a pen Al that would be lovely I'm sure something's stopping me from getting out and about Oh well bit of cleaning I think

Viv have you not got an old nut n bolt from Dizzys days knocking about you could use, or you could just take the nut an bolt off the other side of the Battery and hey presto problem solved !!!:biggrin:
If you rub two screwdrivers together for a minute*, you might find one becomes magnetic enough....*like you would sharpen a carving knife. If you need a couple of nuts, PM me your address. In the meantime I will check the size....should be M6.......at least they are in my battery. AL
My Dizzy never gave me any reason to undo nuts and bolts so no I don't have any floating around. That bike was a good one
