Schuberth C4 Pro ...

  1. and to go with the new Zumo XT, i decided to upgrade my helmet from existing Schuberth C4, to a C4 Pro.

this will be my third Schuberth modular helmet.

with all the reviews i have read/watched, listing all the incremental improvements the C4 Pro has over the C4 ... i am really looking forward to this upgrade. plus, the new graphics look very cool.

  3. I've got the C4 Pro. Fits great, vents are also great and the modular intercom is much louder than the scala packtalk I have on my spare shoei GT . I find the C4pro is quite loud tho' without having to wear earplugs.

  4. so here is a question for the collective mind on C4 and C4 Pro users, who are also using the SC1 comm system:

i was using the SC1 as the bluetooth hub for my Zumo and iPhone ... but a few weeks ago, i unpaired everything, and starting using the Zumo (a 395LM at present, as i have a Zumo XT on order) as the bluetooth hub, and i really like the integration of the iPhone into the Garmin, as now i can actually see who is calling in, and i can see my iPhones contact directory.

so, my question to those others who are not using the SC1 as the hub for bluetooth ... can you have your smartphone and SC1 paired to the Zumo, and still use the Schuberth "My Schuberth" smartphone app to connect with the SC1 and change settings?

if that is not possible, i will still use the Zumo as the hub, as phone integration is a higher priority than SC1 settings changes on the fly.

  5. I'm struggling with how to link everything as well. I was debating trying to use the Ducati MMS as the hub.

Also I find the buttons on the SC1 system too small and the combination of presses, (tap, long, short etc) very confusing. I loved my old Interphone as it gave clear voice commands of everything you were doing. I even bought a remote control for the handlebars but find that equally useless, the light is so pathetic you can't even tell when it's switched on.

I guess I just need to persist... or find a good tutorial video

  6. i gave up on the MMS as the bluetooth hub long ago ... and started using the SC1 as the hub, paring the garmin and my iPhone to the SC1. this past month, i started using my current Zumo 395lm as the hub. brilliant. now i can see who is calling in on phone, and if i choose to listen to music, the integration is much better.

as for the fiddly little buttons on the SC1, fully agree. i purchased an RC4, and use it for volume control, and before i started using the Garmin as the hub, i used the RC4 to answering incoming calls and to summon Siri.

  7. Like the look of that, I have a C4 in mat dark green finish.
    Best lid I’ve ever had.

  10. a link to where the moderators move threads to would be sort of ... oh, IDK ... helpful.

  11. One thing not to do is pair your phone with both...

  12. I tried the C4 Pro but didnt find it comfortable. Went with a Neotec II.

  13. Has anyone gone from a fixed schuberth and onto one of these flip up versions. Just wondered on the fit shape wise. I’ve a model S2 at the moment. ( Two previous to this have also been from schuberth).

  14. I have the Schuberth E1 flip up version. Expensive but it is a very well made and comfortable lid. Previously I wore Shoei and the fit seems to be similar for my head anyway.

  15. for what it's worth, I will have a 1-year-old glossy silver, Xl sized C4, in perfect condition, for sale, once my C4 Pro arrives from the Netherlands.

if anyone is interested, shoot me a message.
