New DID chain, Supersprox 42T rear and Std. front sprocket fitted, plus 1st MOT. All good, can feel a bit more urgency on the throttle, only couple mph down at same rpm at cruising speed. Damp then rain so couldn't really push.
When I was a kid we used to go camping in France this was back in the 60's. I was fascinated by the place it was so different the cars were different to anything back home the place smelt different and best of all was the French Baguette. As the years have gone by those differences have diminished but the last straw was when I bought a Baguette from A carrefour and it was the same as a the crap morrisons sell. So today my five bags of French flour have been delivered and I have set out on the journey to recreate the Baguette that I recalled from my youth
@Expat Jack That's why i had mine yesterday, planning ahead to stay bone dry The muckaway driver wanted £200 to remove this massive old copper beech tree stump from site (in two sections)& the local farmer said £150 (i've known him for 35 plus years),feck them i said i'll do it myself & have alot of fun in the process.luckily i've access to another trailer because i can't unload the first trailer at the moment.also found a very large flint for all my efforts over the past weeks/months...paper weight or a garden feature.
Been in Earby, Lancashire today installing a downstairs bathroom at my brothers house with my plumber mate in readiness for my Mam to move there (I mainly watched and chatted) Long day though and we're back to finish it (hopefully) next week. Anything exciting happened?
She's been back in hospital for an op, but home again now with homecare visits 3 times a day. She has 5 more weeks of support so trying to get her moved before that ends
Work! Then lost all that work (thanks VPN madness). So redid that work. Then got told to do more work. So in short... work. Hmpf. Think I might have to give up on this working lark!
Interviewed 3 people via Microsoft Teams - this virtual reality malarkey is becoming the new normal! Seemed weird not to have to sort out the glass of (tepid) water for the candidates
Don't forget the completely undrinkable (and equally tepid) coffee and sub-par selection of semi-stale biscuits (for candidates for the more senior roles obvs).
or the dreadful 'trial by vol au vent' where you try and balance a plate of food whilst holding a plastic cup of orange juice and talk to random team members about nothing in particular..........not really missing the office to be honest
