It says Model year from 2012 and Model year up to 2014 in the info. The design changed for the DVT model in 2015, seats from that fit the 1260.
You could always message the Wales touratech shop. Asking them to have one in stock & take a trip over & then enjoy some more welsh lanes.
Hi Bumpkin, thanks for the reply. What got me confused was that there are two models listed on the website (see below) The one I posted above looks from the picture the same as (fittings) the one on my 1260?
The illustration of the inverted seat shows distinct differences from what I can see. Have my seat on my desk right now. The pin looks further forward and the hook at the back is more of a hook that the extension of the 'bump' in the seat-pan as on the 1260 seat. The position of the rubber bumpers to the rear are just in front of the hook, on the 1260 seat they are definitely behind it. The difference between the two seats shown is that the more expensive one has the DriRide breathable cover.... is this like Tena for men? Touratech are willing to send stuff out on sale or return, distance selling regs make this a legal requirement anyway. I tried a screen from them for my 1260 and returned it as it was just as bad as the OEM one. They agreed to let me fit and try it so long as I left the protective film on. They didn't kick up a fuss about a full refund minus the P&P, I also paid for return postage which was fair enough. Having said that I don't think it will fit.
The two pillion seats from the Touratech site are the same design seat, the difference is the material used for the cover they call DriRide, water repellent I imagine. The pillion seats you have shown only fit the 2012 - 2014 twinspark model. Had a looksee at their website and they only list rider seat for DVT and 1260! Not a thing for the Enduro!
Pop this search in eBay. Passenger Seat Comfort Touratech for Ducati Multistrada 1200 dal2015 96880211A taking offers Shipped from Italy. @Bumpkin this one fit 1260?
I think you've found the beggar sir, well done https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Passenge...tistrada-1200-dal2015-96880211A-/254034464840
Yes, that's the one 2015 DVT onwards 1200 and current 1260 (not Enduro though). Part number(96880211A) is the same as the pillion seat that DMC supplied to me.
@BobTheBounder the one I ordered from Italy arrived this morning and I can confirm 100% that it fits 1260s
Hi, Great find Pat, thank you Sir. Don’t want to look negative however I’m a bit confused...this is on eBay but not on the Touratech website as available???
Yeah, its weird.. Bumpkin alerted me to the fcat the seat fits first spoke to Touratech on chat and situation is as follows They sell a seat for 1260 Front only, they dont sell a rear The seat for the 1200 DVT 2015 on is not advertised as fitting 1260 but it does You can still get a rear Touratech from Ducati dealers UK, but they are ~£400 Rooted around on ebay and found a couple of adverts, with postage I paid £230 for a rear hope this sheds light
I think that the seat we've got (Pat and myself anyway) was designed for the 1200 DVT. The seats, in respect of fit and their bases, as well as optional height, are the same. However, the covering material on the original 1260 is different and in the case of my white 1260 is black and grey. Just having one comfort seat and a std one looks a bit of a mismatch. Unlike on the 1200 DVT where you could just have the rider seat and everything looks OK. So once the 1260 was introduced and the 1200 no longer available Ducati considered them old redundant stock. Hence I got mine from Ducati Manchester for £193 delivered as they were offered a container of redundant parts from the factory at a knock down price. I ordered long before this landed in the UK, they had a flash sale on their website when they knew what the contents were. Having already compared seats with a 1200 rider and bought Bradders' rider seat from his 1200 I was more than confident that the pillion one would fit. I don't like the two tone OEM seats on mine so changing them was not just for comfort purposes. I prefer them aesthetically as well.
Thank you both for your help and knowledge, so glad there are helpful people on this forum. Lovely looking bike Bumpkin! Cheers
