1200 DVT Which Multi & What To Look For ?

  1. Yeah, I would need to do some test rides. I'm probably about 5'11" with not terribly long legs. I had some sort of Multistrada as a loan bike when my monster was being serviced. It would of still been under warranty for ne to get dealer servicing and so I would guess about 2008. I must of get on with it fine and would of done about 60 miles on it. I'm guessing that the Enduro is set up with a taller suit and so I would have to try one before committing.

  2. Nope...... I have an 1200 Enduro pro now which I has just had its running in / annual service. Before this I had a 2017 950 and they are the same.

The 950 was a touch small (6,3) for me hence switching to the 1200 for seat height but the 950 was amazing I did two euro tours and the bike was flawless. If the size wasn't an issue 950s for same toys and probably more for your money...

However I rode the 1260s while mine was in for the service now that fun.

In summary 1260S, Quick and Nimble, 1200 enduro Quick comfy, 950 quick nimble and forgiving.

all are amazing....... I cant help sorry all good!!! haha

    Good luck

So, I can't make a decision sat on my backside at my desk! I will have to get out!

Still KTM, Guzzi, and the Multistrada. As I will part-ex a Ducati, then I need to get at least one road legal (as well as myself!)

This has lead me to believe that I shouldn't get hung up on shaft drive. That rules out some (too many) good bikes!

Plus, on chain drive, it is easy to shorten the gearing, thus improving wheelie potential - I bet that the Gizzi is shit at wheelies!

  4. Perry doubt the guzz would wheelie even if you dumped the clutch at 6k rpm, if'n you did make the betty wheelie you're a braver man than I! The SD GT is a stonking machine, friend and I swapped bikes for half a day on a Scotland tour, that seat doesn't look particularly comfortable............its worse mate, after 150 miles or so my arse was killing me, that evening at the hotel bar where everyone was having a nice drink and a natter, I was lying in the bath soothing my poor rectum and ringing round everyone for asprin/paracetamol or cocaine. My mate finds it bearable but then he is built like a whippet and I like a portly gorilla.

  5. Funny about your arse, but useful. I would be looking at something to do 200 miles per day, easy. I might not do 200 miles every day but I would want to know that I could, if I wanted to to. I have got form here after missing a ferry at Poole, once. I had to high-tail it to Portsmouth and then do the French bit, across Brittany, in one go in the dark. Maybe 150 miles in England and then 200 in France! That was on my ST3.

  6. I do most of the service items myself as the disassembling of the bike. That leaves valves belts and sparks.

  7. I read earlier you are 5'11" I'm 6'2" but 18 st, My mate Robbie said I looked like a gorilla on a greyhound when I swung my leg over her, initially all was fine no perceived discomfort, just oodles of power and fun fun fun, if you like wheelie ability this has to be a contender. So when things calmed down a little the tingling in me arse cheeks started, so started to take a little more weight on to the pegs either pushing down or standing up, to no avail the numbness started then came the cramp and then pain. I would have murdered a small hamlet by then for an airhawk cushion!
