Very true ,I used to not care about comfort ,just looks and handling I quite like the monster 1100 and the hyperstrada ,but I will need to at least have a sit on both
I have an M1100S..not for sale but I can vouch for the fun factor these bikes. Bags of low down torque, addictive acceleration out of low/medium speed corners. They can be picked up fairly cheap too. Comfort is good.
I guess you don't happen to get up this way at all ? I promise not to fall over if you let me have a sit on it
What you have to understand about WCP is that he keeps say £ when actually works €. Also he has a desperate need to be loved, so he over estimates values to get affection. He's also not in the market to buy.....
Getting rarer, this blokes parting one out https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/poopingb...ghcAAOSwFoheym4s&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2562
Those buyers will want bog standard Bikes. No idea on value. 4-6k given it will need a lot done if someone wants to make standard again? Who knows. Depends how keen you are to sell.
Bradders has a point there ^^^ most buyers are looking for original bikes and will use the black wheels and other non-original items as bargaining chips; my original thoughts may have been a bit bullish
I could easily get the wheels painted the correct colour if you think that might be a stumbling block ? Would people prefer the Biposto seat? I do have the rear footrests still ,what else the white stripe on the fairing? its a Original paint item but not the correct one for this colour scheme i guess
I wouldn't bother doing anything to it IMO, leave it as is and see what people say, everyone is different. As long as you have the original pipes, the original EPROM chip, the pillion footrests, the original seat you'll be fine. However, IMO you'll be better off selling it to someone on here rather than putting it on eBay, you'll just get dicked around on there, at least if anyone on here is interested they'll be a genuine buyer and won't mess you around.
Any work you do is unlikely to increase the sales price, however it might make it appeal to a wider base. I recently purchased a bike with non-standard (colour) wheels. Two up on a 916 is a real pain IMHO. If you decide to get the wheels back to the correct Matt Gold perhaps we could get mine done at the same time?
