Not today, the last few days, but finished cleaning up this: It is a writing desk built by my late father forty five or so years ago. The wood is teak and it came from a bunch of steeping vats at the mill we worked at, at the time which were ripped out and replace with stainless steel The owners has no idea what wood it was or what it was worth so they were happy to have him take it off their hands. The desk has not been well looked after the last ten years or so and for the past 4 years I have had it standing in the house here in Hanoi. I finally managed to lay my hands on some decent wood oil/wax and set about cleaning it up. Not a full restore, but it did turn out quite nicely. Well pleased, and think my Dad would be pleased too
Been out in the garage and found the rear wheel. 35 year old rock hard tyre to come off and then it's round 2 of my wheel building experience.
Fitted the fused battery input cables from my Oxford Solar panel charger to my recently purchased Monster 620ie...in decent sun it produces about 2w....its worked well on other machines keeping the battery in a good condition provided its well charged already....
Decided to carry on with the landscaping of the garden so I had some decking delivered on Tuesday. Started Wednesday and just about finished today but I have a few bits to alter/tidy up.
With all the sadness and trauma going on in the world at the moment, it is worth reflecting on the death of a very important person, which almost went unnoticed last week. Larry LaPrise, the man who wrote "The Hokey Cokey" died peacefully in his Care Home at the age of 97. The most traumatic part for his family today, was getting him into the coffin. They put his left leg in,and then the trouble started
started the clear out the utility and starred redecoration. Trying to choose some stone flooring that won’t break the bank (can’t believe I’ve lived with that carpet and pink walls for 4 years) and solve a damp problem with some external digging

Had great few days out there about 8 years ago on the 748, stayed in a house just outside Louisburgh and had some good rides on and around the loop. Leenaun, Letterfrack, Clifden, nice lunch in the seafood restaurant in Roundstone, great part of the world.
A trip around Connemara and ending up in Westport for night on the lash is always a must every time I go back. Unfortunality its always in a rental car.
It was not advertised for sale but he'd another item listed on Ebay,so i put two & two together & manipulated the situation. Money talks doesn't it.
No i don't own it at the minute, just need to reach down into the socks for the cash. It has a few problems so that's the drawback for me at the minute.
