Hi From Lincolnshire

  1. I've a Scrambler Classic, and really enjoy it. It's a peppy thing and you put your finger on the "authenticity" of the experience. The Scrambler gets out of shape at speeds where containing its excitement is still fun, and you sort of feel a bit like you're riding the bike rather than being conveyed. Not to diminish the Multi in any way, they're great. Lincolnshire lanes and Wolds roads flatter the Scrambler and it always feels zippy in a way it wouldn't on motorways.

Nice to see another Ducati owner locally. There's a meet in Snitterby monthly BTW at the Oak. :)

  2. Very nice . Yes will have to pop up to Snitterby . Have been a bit lazy about meeting up with folk . Well I ordered a new Desert Sled last night ( should get it in a week or so) and the Multi is going today . I can't justify two road bikes . And when I say 'I' , I mean my missus . I'm sure some hipster bloke went round the world on a desert sled , so hopefully it will cope with the wolds :)

  3. Hi Crofty . me too , generally a lone rider , which isn't bad , but yes should make the effort to meet a few folk . Typically as of today I'm bikeless for a week or so . Always a dangerous time , as missus may a.) think she has finally won the war , b') put something else in the garage space and c.) start asking probing questions as to how much the next one is costing . It's hard work sticking to the story I originally told her lol

  4. This thread is the one you need, and they're a nice bunch. Good mix of current generation and previous generations of Ducatis tend to show up. I'm a bit shy and don't always manage to participate but I've always been made to feel very welcome. :)

  5. I've just bought a new bike and was really excited about going out for a few rides with my mates, however they've all just sold theres :sob::sob::sob:

I'm a bit shy, but probably not with like minded people. It would be nice to have some real biker friends rather than the "digital friends" as my wife calls them!!

I totally understand where you're coming from with the bike thing. I sold mine this year to buy the new one and i had many probing questions. She refrained from asking how much have you spent on the new one though! What will rock the boat is that i've bought a track bike and not told her yet. If you're local you'll probably hear the fireworks when i finally pluck up the courage to tell her!!!
