With the caveat that 'All dates, events and the eventual attendance of spectators are subject to the evolution of the pandemic and the approval of corresponding Governments and authorities.' I am not going to hold my breath for Catalunya as it is September and we are already on the cusp of cancelling our trip to the Vercour region of France over similar dates. If it all goes ahead, I can see last minute bookings of flights from the UK and hotels in Europe costing at least double what we already paid for this year. At this point in time, I am not yet a happy bunny. Andy
The wife and me have Misano booked, flights, tickets etc and like it says subject to the evolution of the pandemic, the wife and me have written it all off for this year and i still am not convinced. If we can fly out to Italy in september we will go because we want to see our friends there and there new baby but Motogp, still not convinced.
Iv still misano booked for july for what would have been wdw. If we can we will still go. Also have booked misano for septembe 13 th moto gp so hope it goes ahead.
Where did your information come from ? I’ve neither read nor heard anything other than the proposed rescheduled dates. Andy
Crash.net are saying misano will hold back to back races on the 13th and 20th of september and may (covid allowing) host spectators however the following weekends race in barcelona moto gp on the 27th will defiantly not have spectators. Soooo the weekend of the 20th barcelona is ment to host wsb looks like no spectators if it runs.......can anyone confirm this?
The wife and me have tickets for Misano, bought them back in Feb so i'm still in the dark about allowing spectators to the track, i mean do i get my money back if we don't want to attend and how many spectators (maybe ticket sales up to lock down)are they going to allow in? We want to go to Italy in Sept to visit friends if flights into Italy are allowed by then, we've been doing it for 5 years. Can not confirm WSB Barcelona with no spectators but will keep an eye open!!
Id doubt you will get ticket money back if you dont want to attend but if no spectators allowed then yes you will. My ticket agents are keeping me informed. Im thinking of trying to cancel flights and reschedule so i can stay in misano rather than travel to barcelona. Where are you staying in misano?
Confirmed on the circuit’s web site. https://www.circuitcat.com/en/news/...ster-energy-de-catalunya-de-motogp-confirmed/ According to the circuit, a platform will be set up from 29th June for refund or roll over to 2021. Soooooo disappointed. Andy
Late last night, I received an e-mail from my MotoGP ticket middle man and have been offered a full refund of the ticket value (fair enough) or roll the tickets, with the same stand and seats, over to the race in 2021. No brainer for me, I will be rolling the tickets over. Andy
Here is the statement from the track, https://www.gpfrancemoto.com/. Sorry, my French is too rusty to make much sense of it. Andy
Yes, that is the case, https://www.bologna-airport.it/en/welcome-to-bologna-airport/?idC=62175#section-mbl-form. Scroll the text in the red box and it confirms the 11th with a deadline of the 22nd for works additional to and alongside the original runway work Andy
I'm all booked up for Brno after having a great time last year but can't see that going ahead with spectators either. Plus the fact we were meant to fly into Austria and then upto Brno on the train which causes issues with countries different entry requirements. These countries are viewing britain as a high risk country at the moment so this is may effect travel also.
Mine too but its not a welcome everyone back message is it (they mention tdf, LM24hr, roland garros and add to the fact their football behind closed doors isnt even returning til late august i think i have my answer. Cheers
Was ment to fly out of bologna on the 15th as per their original airport closure schedule, now its closing on the 11th. Typical italy, planning back to back moto gp and they shut the local international airport, could the work not have been carried out later in the year.....grrrrr
