The advert? On 18-Jun-20 at 14:27:34 BST, seller added the following information: Following a couple of queries, it's frame #312, making it a Varese-built bike. This is, apparently, desirable. No idea why; maybe they didn't have such long lunch breaks as their Bologna cousins. I have the keys. Somewhere. I've been tripping over them for the last 15 years, but typically I can't lay my hands on them a the moment. Will tear the garage apart this afternoon in an effort to find them.
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/283915773231?ul_noapp=true Mmmmm, is this the one from on here a few weeks ago that caused such a rumpus?
Just saw that. The clutch cover is different and the exhausts look a lot less polished, but I haven't looked much past that. This is No. 474, what was the other one? https://www.ducatiforum.co.uk/threads/1098r-troy-bayliss-limited-edition-£16-000.78130/
It's lost the mileage totally now from it's story if it's the same one and although the for sale post at the time was locked when questions were being asked - it has now totally disappeared as though the seller has asked it to be deleted
Dunno - the for sale thread has been deleted so we now have no history of a potentially dodgy Bayliss -
That’s a great project, as already said the wheel looks sprayed up, I don’t think the levers are original (think the originals were non adjustable?) and the lower fairing will cost a few quid to replace but depending on when people lose steam on the price and bail out, this could be an earner for someone
