Bottom shock bolt finally removed from my Beta and replaced with a new one. Tried everything but the only solution was to drill the old bolt out then make a tool to drift the shell of the bolt out. Assembled with a decent amount of grease !
Neighbour said we're off to the pub.... Hoiked a suitable container out of the recycling and now enjoying a good pint
Bought a new car (following the old one being dispatched by a bird strike while making "spirited progress" down the M42). Whoop!
Erm... A pigeon. Defo made of lead tho. Tbf, my car was pretty old so I was looking for an m excuse...
today i have logged in ere for the first time in ages... (about a week) and find many new members... sorry i have been too busy to welcome you as i would normally do, as the leader of the pack does normally..errrr....do..... welcome! welcome to the animal farm... where all are equal... enjoy. 2 wheels good, 4 wheels bad. unless you a retired with need of a mobility scooter..
Set up the gazebo so my wife could meet two friends in the garden - I think her old car battery adds a certain something to the setup! Replaced two broken springs in a door handle - six springs and circlips cost £7 and the circlips pliers cost £3.45 (free P&P) - okay they're not snap-on but pretty good value and better that trying to do it with a screwdriver!
You cheeky fucker!!! All good here. But missing the social life of mates and pub TBH. Yes, even a pint with you would be tolerable right now.
Not a lot today, pissing down most of it but fitted new basket but as always waiting for fucking plates, always fucking waiting for something and it usually is the stuff you need!!
Led a group ride of 4 riders on an 85 mile social run this morning, had butterflied, panko coated, prawns and jalapeño poppers for a snack lunch then got the chainsaw out and removed and logged a dead tree that was preventing the rebuilding of a boundary fence. Bit of a naughty end to the day with bacon butties for tea and now slobbing preparing a route for an observed ride tomorrow. Andy
