I can understand that chief, diverse opinions are an absolute given and should be embraced, the levellers of motorcycling, motorcycles, Italian motorcycles and Ducati motorcycles especially. I do however think social standings are for me and should on this platform be completely irrelevant.
Has mentioned Scotland yet? If he hasn't, his account has been hijacked and you should press the report button on the left side of the post.
But it isn't. Story: Many moons ago two members had opposing views on virtually everything, clashing at every post. One member complained to the moderator that the other member Nuke'd their post. The other member was told not to Nuke that members posts again and to put them on ignore. That member did as he was told (for the sake of the forum) and the complaining member didn't; even saying in open forum that they wouldn't do what they were told, refusing to use the ignore function. The half of the problem that was refusing to use ignore, still followed the other member around the forum.... quoting the @username function so that it flagged up on the users screen. Trying to draw the member into an on screen fight. This behavior carried on for many weeks, unopposed by management until eventually the blessed block function came along. Long live the block function. Pictures added as it was a long post.
I would say yes chief, using the narrative from my previous post, I do not frequent pubs much any more I had to give up drinking many years ago and still find it difficult, a group of gents/geezers or in chiz's words biker scum, diverse opinions thumbs up, social standings left at home. price still only 2d
Note to self..... Don't buy our next house next door to a pub. I wish I had the self control not to go in... I treated it like an extension, I can get to the front door of the pub faster than the bottom of our garden. And why would I go there... no beer.
Good on you for abstaining, i don't think i had alcoholism but it was becoming a problem so weighing the pros and cons i just stopped, way over a year ago now. It's a menace if not moderated like this forum there sticking to the thread.
Cheers PB, mine was the multitude of sins, was affecting my health, marriage and freedom. Wouldn't have been able without love and support from wife, kids, family another hard part was breaking the bonds with my friends/enablers with whom I partook. Whilst abstaining, lost touch with a lot of friends who were not part of the alcohol side of life. Time does heal.
