I think it’s the future, sadly. I need to look at this seriously after a recent incident, I know there is at least one thread running but did you go for the cloud storage and rental fee or can you store it and look at it at your leisure for free? Decided I want the latter.
The pictures are on my phone and you can have alerts but I've got them switched off. The cameras are 8MPX which is equivalent to 4k I believe. I have a 2T hard drive which stores at least 2 weeks of recording.
Yes Chris the latter. You can search by date and time via the app. The app is accessed via the cloud but is free.
Do you have one of those days when you beaver away industriously, carefully taking off vulnerable body work, taking off everything necessary to feed wires through inaccessible places, neatly tie wrapping the wiring in place, put everything back on that you took off and stand back to admire your handiwork and say WTF ! ? Today I wired a new battery tender pigtail to the battery .......... and routed the plug out through one of the pannier fixing slots in the rear side fairing. What a plonker Still, all done now. Andy
A All the kit is Hikvision and the cameras are the 8 mpx. These are the prices my installer quoted me for the supply, installation and setup of the two cameras. (I installed the Cat 6 wiring). 4 mpx £405 6 mpx £465 8 mpx £515 Edit: Sorry the installation and setup was an additional £120 to the above prices. There is a Cat 6 back to the HD from each camera and one from the router. You can view from phone, pc, mac etc once the app is installed and you can search past recordings using date and time.
Have you used these before, how did they hold up? My soldering is godawful so these look like they could be pretty handy.
I've done 182 miles on my V2 around the Peak District and then across to the Cat & Fiddle from Buxton V2 is now cleaned and polished and back in the garage
Busy at work but had the parking sensors sorted out on the T6 van and had it remapped from 140 to 180 bhp Happy days
Had the day off so took the little (4.8M) rib across to the Isle of Wight. Yamaha 50HP 2-stroke engine never misses a beat
Day off so decided to fix up the bench in the garden - should of known the little lady wouldn’t be happy with just putting new wood on it. But now have a Ducati bench & just to prove to @West Cork Paul I can garden with out petrol - I put my little mishap right
