  1. Washed the dust off my 2000 996S Mono using hose pipe no jet washer now only firing on rear cylinder! have spark so must me fuel! any ideas?

  2. Have you filled the plug hole with water?

  3. The answer is in the thread title, water in the electrics!

  4. It doesnt take much water.Dry your leads and try again.

  5. Yes done all of the above new relays new plugs good spark ran for about 60 secs took plug out dry as a bone! haven't used for over a year could possibly be a coincidence and be gummed up injector! so off to Ducati coventry when all back up and running due to the poxy covid19! thanks for you comments fellas :upyeah:

  6. Water and Ducati’s not a good combo just needs to completely dry out , if it was still hot and outside it should be right once completely dry sometimes it takes a few days to dry completely

  7. yes the older ones don't like water but funny enough my 851 has always been ok! been a few weeks now still no joy

  8. i have similar scenario except 2003. In dry storage and have been running up occasionally but pump failed last time so more work now.

  9. my 900 ss often only runs on one if not started for a lil while... still starts fucken well on one though!!!! my last was the same, i dont know why but the front plug fouls slightly... giving it a clean and all is good. did this a few weeks back after a few months laid up, cleaned plug and it aint missed a beat in 500 odd miles.
the bike amazes me, starts on the button and ticks over from cold (no choke and only a slight tickle of the throttle) if used weekly.

  10. Injector connector?

  11. not on mine!

  12. Possibility :upyeah:

  13. Nick, I had a similar experience with water sitting in the plug socket of the atmospheric pressure sensor on the header tank by the steering damper. The rubber boot perishes and allows water in which puddles in the bottom of the plug socket around two of the three connector pins when the bike is on the side stand. On mine it did it after a wash then the water evaporated and the fault disappeared for a while. At some point, on a couple of really hot days, the bike started to cut out on the horiz cylinder before stalling, it nearly broke down. The water had caused corrosion and high resistance on the two pins and fecked the atmos pressure sensor output and injection system calibration. Ended up with a new sensor and now careful attention when washing the bike. Easy to check and eliminate
