today was a bout carefully running in the replacement pistons.......Ha Ha yeah right. Although I tried not to over rev her it just seemed impossible. That said the engine is strong fuelling responsive and handling is.....well sublime.. A happy bunny
Took my old 900ss out for the first time, just a dummy MOT run . Bloody marvellous 20 years since i straddled an ss, gentle bimble though in t-shirt and jeans.
Another great ride on the little SS. A quick 85 miles out this afternoon. Had to move a monster 796 and street triple 765 RS out the garage to get to her. That must say something....
Take them off the bike and tighten the internal mounting screws so they don't bounce around. I found even then the view wasn't great but pair of blind spot mirrors found on Ebay work for me.
depends what you mean... If it is floppy mirrors it is possible to scuff the mounting ball with low grit emery paper..this will allow for a better friction in the socket. If it is about seeing your elbows, I find it is best to lift you elbow and look "under the arm"!
Thought I would add a quick tip. Both mirrors droopy I prefer not to cut, rough-up or file stuff as it is a one way street... so I added a single layer of bicycle inner tube, cut into a circle slightly larger than the ball/socket. Cut a small hole for the screw and clamp ball shank to pass through. As the screw is tightened it grips the inner tube from both sides allowing the joint to grip while remaining fully adjustable. Seems to work quite well and is ifinitely repeatable... availability of inner tubes not withstanding!
