  2. Yes sorted it eventually, it's amazing how much air can get trapped in the system, i've not had that much trouble before with the clutch although i did drain it to replace the little clamps on the top rubber tubes, the one's on there where badly rusted and i've got to do the front brake ones next but there will be no draining that:scream:, i'll syringe out the reservoir then replace, then top up and allow the air to rise to the occasion!!
I did it on my 900.

  3. When I did the brake an clutch fluid I just drained from the bleed nipples and filled the reservoir so I didn't introduce air (not a 100% job I know) however, on doing the clutch I was too exuberant in draining and fell below the reservoir slightly which made for an involved bleeding job :bucktooth: my theory is the side stand helps bleed air from the front brake naturally but you need to tip the bike over the other way to bleed the clutch (I may be wrong though as it was while ago now) :upyeah:

  4. It is one job i hate and i really don't like brake fluid as it seems to get in the stupidest places and i'm always worried about getting it on paintwork etc.:scream: :upyeah:

  6. Sev, was it a white Citroen Berlingo van With a roof rack? One of these vans was used in a burglary near me last week, guy walked to the front door, when he got no answer he opened the door with a crowbar, and two others went in. All caught on CCTV. Lightwater Surrey.

  7. Gone two rounds with Garmin Base Camp. @Bumpkin has sponged me down and given me some tips. The bell is about to go for the third and final round. If I can’t write a route after this, sod it, the sat nav is going in the bin. Andy

  8. Finally had a marrige made in heaven today with no prenuitials, the 2.5 ton machine and trailer were purchased separately earlier in the year & live at different postcodes,Trailered very well the first time out,but on the return trip i went forward by 6/8" with the parking position which upset the balance, lesson learned.

  10. Swapped the DP rearsets on my 996 for Gilles ones as I think the DP ones are too nice for it so they may go on my 748R instead.

  15. Calimoto Andy, try it on their website for free. You plan your route just by clicking and/or dragging and can export .gpx files which you can then upload into your satnav.

  16. Now yesterday, I took my MTS Low seat to a specialised upholsterer who does bike seats, to make it more comfortable and stop the forward stance into the tank while retaining the lowness . Done with care and attention, will ride later to see how much more comfortable it is.
