916 How Loud, 916 With Termi "silencers"

What sort of Termis do you have?
45 half system/45-50 half system/full 50 or above?

Also, where are you going and what is the limit?

My 916SPS with full 50 system never needed baffles.

 

You can get an idea of the noise level with a dB app on your phone.

 

I’ve got a full 50mm system, an it’s 101db
Only place I struggle with is the quiet days at donny (98db) and castle Combe due to how they noise test, they are 105db at 3/4 rpm so it’s about 8k rpm, all other noise tests are about 5.5krpm, just pull the clutch in a bit to get the quiet spot to stop the clutch rattle

 

My old 853 sps track bike was bang on 100db but never got pulled for noise

 

Is that a static limit or drive by?

 

I don't use one - I've seen it done by someone else though

 

You can just turn up to any TD and get a noise check

 

If it’s 98dB static then you’d be pushing it with Termis. Standard pipes would be ok though...probably.

 

I've got 50mm Termis, I can't say it really sounds any louder than with the 45mm Termis that I originally had.

The box they came in has '102db' written on it (don't know if that's normal?) and an iphone app confirms that to be about right.

I doubt you'd get under 100db with any aftermarket cans...
