Ouch. I did that once. First ride out of London, first ride on a motorway. Decided to go all the way up to Yorkshire to a GB Bikers forum meet (sadly now defunct but was a great forum). Put a full tank of diesel in my CBF600 somewhere in the lake district. Thankfully didn't start it. Several gerry cans and a few alan keys later, managed to take the tank off and drain it. After I'd fuelled up again (with petrol...) and gone in to pay, the chippy fuel attendant said "bet that was the most expensive fuel-up you've ever had!". He ducked just in time to miss my fist connecting with his face, sadly.
Apparently, my dog is not a substitute for a child. Well, that's what her piano teacher told me today
Your V4 is now damaged beyond repair I’m afraid. I’ll give you £500 for it, or £250 if you want to keep the Termis.
Took Daughter to upgrade her phone to whatever is the latest release today. Fitted new seat lock to my M900, then went for a cycle ride with my Son. Back to work tomorrow, see how many more claim to have C-19 to get a couple of days off work....
Got no euros and bank card is either struggling or no cash machine managed to pay in English for something I would never normally eat but it’s food and they gave me 3 tins of Heineken fair trade for £20 to be honest It’s weird sat by schipol but it’s silent and was very quiet daytime for an airport that often sees two take offs at the same time
I see the Ducati Owners Club GB are having a field day with this on facebook. @Torquepen would love this... a diesel Duke.
My friend runs Bike Throttle Page and DriveTribe: Motorcycles so he helped in that department. In my defence, Shell Ultimate has a blue label on the actual pump, BP Ultimate Diesel also is blue. And the order of pumps from right to left was Diesel, Unleaded and then Ultimate Diesel. Why have 2x diesels not next to each other? Meh, lesson learned.
Standsted was like that when it opened the new terminal building in the early 1990's. It had the cheapest tickets to Chicago, where I used to visit the Underwriters labs. Always chatted to the bored Airport/cleaning Staff, who thought i worked there
This is better than a year or two ago, the nozzles are more visually different now - I got as far as picking up the Diesel "V Power" nozzle once or twice in the past. My brain block in selecting V Power.
I've got a telephone pole sited right next to where I park my car at the front of my house. Now I'm quite an animal lover, and feed the wild birds every day at the back of my house (where it's relatively safe cos our dog hates cats, so none dare venture into that secure area - birds don'r really bother her) However, some of these ungrateful feathered friends have taken to roosting on the telephone pole and crapping on my car, resulting in me having to wash this shit off on a daily basis. I've tried talking to the birds and warning them but they just fly off. Now I've had this crazy idea - If I contact "Black Lives Matter" and tell them that the pole is a statue dedicated to Huddersfield Slave Driver Wilfred Bottomley (long since gone to Benidorm where he bought a bar in 1997), they could potentially be interested in pulling the pole down, thereby solving my problem. And, as most of my neighbours with land-lines using that pole, probably wouldn't notice due to their owning of mobile phones, maybe (just maybe) no-one would notice. Is it a goer?
You've obviously met Wilf Chris, and it's an uncanny likeness. He was the inspiration for Wallace (I think it was the teeth) - or it might have been Grommit - I can't tell the difference unless my wife is sat watching it too)
I’m sat waiting for my consultant in this new world of masks and sanitisers and PPE Second time out since March and my anxiety levels were high Feeling better as I sit here and wait We are all distanced from each other The only problem I’m finding is I can’t lip read so I’m asking people what did they say more My hearing is rubbish at the best of times
