I met Cal a few times back in his BSB days, he is actually an OK guy in real life (or was back then at least). Problem now is he seems to have taken up Casey's mantle and just moans and complains. Casey was a tool but got some respect cos he won races and even a MGP title. Cal cant do that so it just looks like he's making excuses all the time now
From what I have seen in paddocks to be a good racing driver/rider you have to be a very selfish mutha. This means not all racers will be everyone’s cup of tea, and if it wasn’t for media interviews etc it would not matter one jot about the personalities, just the results. But I do accept we live in a media frenzy. Even though MM or Vale come across so well on TV, do you really think they are like that in a meeting room. I very much doubt it, to be that good you have to kick ass.

Rumours are Cal Crutchlow has got the chop from LCR to make room for Marquez jr and there are no seats available for him to continue in MotoGP unless it’s Aprilia, assuming Iannoni gets the push if his appeal is unsuccessful. Rumour also has it, Crutchlow turned down a seat with the Honda WSBK team. Andy
That's a bit of a shame, would have been good for Cal to have had the time and space to make his own decision. I'd rather he quit than ran around at the back on an Aprilia. I'm also not sure he'll go to WSBK... Unless.. he goes there to try and kick Scott's arse as they by all accounts hate each other. Personally, and this is not said as a Fan Boy as I'm not particularly, I think on a factory Ducati in place of Dovi he could win races.

I like a brit to follow in the racing and i for one will miss him but he is getting on and youngsters are the way forward for moto gp, cannot see Marques junior doing any good on the Honda, its a one rider pony.

If what Casey Stoner said recently is true (and I have no reason to disbelieve him), Ducati did have for sometime, little or no interest in using rider feedback to develop the bike. One huge reason for a rider not to want to stay. It was rumoured at the time of his departure, this corporate stance pissed the hell out of Vale. Andy
I'm not surprised the door is closed to Cal at Ducati for MotoGP, I'm not sure there is a place for him in worldsbk either even if he wanted it which seems unlikely. Honda have Bautista, and Haslam so far has really shown good pace
crutchlow has had his opportunities. im no fan at all, i hate the way he diss's other riders and claims to be the fastest or second fastest rider out there after crashing out... he may have been fast but you have to stay on the fucken thing, anyone can lap fast and crash... i think aprilia already know how well their bike crashes so cant see him there... re him being able to win on the ducati? dovi IS the better rider. re him going to wsb and battering redding, redding IS the better rider. i wish redding had got the same opportunities as crutchlow... all that said, he IS a great rider and i wish i had a fraction of his talent (i am grateful i dont have his personality though!)
Just read on Everything MotoGP (which of course I believe totally ) Dorna have committed to helping Cal Crutchlow stay in MotoGP in 2021, which more or less confirms the rumour Marquez jnr. has taken his seat at LCR. I have to question Dorna’s motives because I’m not sure what they want for the sport. Is it Cal or is it that they see the need for a British rider ? Andy
Well I think he'll probably end up on a Aprilia then, because they will want some funding from Dorna given that Piaggio have just had to take another 150million Euro investment to keep them afloat. And as much as I hate to say it, I don't think Bradley has a chance at remaining there next year in a race seat and I think Cal is faster than A esparagus so they will have someone else to push the project forwards. If it shows to be a solid top 8 bike this year then Maybe Cal will take another years pay cheque
I don’t think Bradley is being considered as a full time GP rider again. There are more competitive riders out there than him but in his role as an Aprilia test rider, I think he has found a niche. The unresolved issue for me is Iannone and his appeal against a ban. If the ban is upheld or extended as WADA want, Iannone is history and Cal gets a ride but if the ban is overturned ......... Andy
I think Cal will retire from MotoGP tbh rather than over ride the Aprilia and risk more injuries. He’s got more than enough money for a comfortable life in California.
Rumour now surfacing that contract negotiations for 2021 between Ducati and Dovi have stalled and there is a possibility Dovi could decide to just walk away Andy
Crutchlow is fast, but I cant see why any top team would take him on. Not known a Crashlots without a good reason. mehhh, bring on more youth please...
