  1. Rather you than me :astonished:. The scaffolding would be OK but you would not get me on the ridge of that roof.

Grand view of the city though :upyeah:

  2. Got the Scrambler MoT’d and despite the attention the tester paid to the headstock bearings, no advisories :upyeah: Andy

Have been fashioning a thermocouple to fit snugly on a gas job with my trusty dremel until it decided to run really slow.
I’ve had the brushes out and they look fine with plenty of travel.
Has anyone any ideas what to look for?

  4. That big melted bit on the stator doesn't look quite the ticket...

That’s some kind of sticky pad, I presume it’s to stop vibration against the casing.

  6. Ah, no worries then - just looked shit in the first photo :D

I reckon running slow would be due to some electronic wizardry (diodes and resistors and shit like that) the motor will be good if it turns at all - apologies for complete lack of help

  7. It’s one of those tools that rarely gets used, it’s biggest job was de-coring the exhausts on my old S4rs.

Took this down, new footings then re-build.

  9. Sometimes tools just go off colour sitting around waiting to be used etc.

  10. Made a pair of lookalikey dpm pegs.
Didn't fancy doing the cutout underneath.
    All hand machined.

  12. Use a vacuum bleeder.
Removes all the air and liquid and then flls the whole system with new.
Not cheap, but 100% perfect. ... every time.

I cobbled it together to get an idea of what I need, but I just got it for something to tinker with. I don’t think this is the correct spark plug:-
