Wales Multistrada Meeting - Aug/Sep 2012

  1. Evening,

    Would there be any interest in a Multistrada gathering in Wales in August or September ?

    This place looks like a decent location to base ourselves..... The Castle Inn | Bed and Breakfast | Bunkhouse | Campsite | Brecon Beacons | Black Mountains

    How about we stay on a Friday and Saturday night, and return to base on Sunday afternoon, reducing time off work for desk jockeys like me ?

    All we need to know now is numbers and suitable dates. Checking the website for an arrival on Friday, 31st August, Friday 7th September or Friday 14th September it says there is availability for up to 12 of us at £14pp per night with a £5 charge on top for breakfast in one for the 'bunk' rooms.

    Let's get some initial thoughts on this and I'll book something up. A £50 non refundable deposit is needed to secure the accomodation.

    I created a poll to to see which weekend is the more popular.

  2. Id be tempted to meet you somewhere enroute but you haven't specified whether you're heading north or south, might be better to get some routes/stops organised and see if people want to pop in/out

  4. I'm really interested in doing this but can't commit to a date at the moment as haven't booked the family summer holiday in August or selfish mans holiday (as my wife calls it) to the Alps with some mates in September.

    Either of the first two dates look ok for me...............Freak's suggestion re routes/stop off is a good idea, only needs to be an outline at this stage.

  7. I'm up for a meet. I live in Gloucestershire and would pop up for the day. Having come from regular z1000sx meets I'd like to carrying on with my new MS.

  10. I have a bunch of pretty good routes that I've built up over time that start and end in Rhayader.

    Happy to email map source file if that would help?

    Work pressures :)mad:) have resulted in me letting this thread die a bit ! Thanks for all the replies and offers of assistance on the route planning so far. I should have a bit of time this week to work on this a bit ! September looks better for me at the moment.

    SPL - A mapsource file would be great ! Send me a PM....
