Physio today. Because my physio can't visit my home now, we have been meeting at the football field were Berkeley Town play. Although I don't think that they have played since January, the council are still maintaining the sports field and cutting the grass. There are some steps to the bar and there are railings, for me to use. In the Summer, I think that I prefer being outside.
Dropped one of them Chinese type chopper bikes at Waltham abbey not the abbey just nearby then darted over to Witney to a premier inn where I am sat now with a Guinness thank god I bought some at the garage...thank god garages sell beer how did we manage years ago when garages only sold fuel
I think that the supermarkets are responsible for killing petrol stations. They sell fuel at a loss to attract people to come to their supermarket to do a shop. They will also pay a lot less than an independent for the fuel.
Popped out for some new pants & socks this morning..when this beautiful four seater Ferrari GTC4 Lusso V12 tried to muscle in on my parking slot, but reversed out and let me park up first,he then said i bet you thought i was some kind of knobhead...and i said NO as your NOT driving a BMW,..anyway in his late twenties early thirties and described the car as the family vehicle..................so in the past two weeks i've seen two Ford GT40's,one Ferrari F40 on the same stretch of road and now this one.
Pure sex Vulcanman............ sorry to hear you are still having the pants and sock s replacement problem !
A couple of months ago, I decided to strip the 1098 Showa forks and get the very slight oxidising on the aluminium outers removed and then Cerakoted. Driving home the other day, literally just up the road from me, I noticed a road side sign advertising amongst other things, Cerakote. Dropped in the talk to the 1 man band operation this morning and learn he is an authorised coater for Remington and whilst knows nothing about bikes, knows his onions about coating. Anyway, left the Showa outers with him and will wait to see the results. Turns out the chap also has an automotive body shop locally and is happy to take on bike parts. Andy
My bike seemed to be leaning over a bit further than normal on the side stand, so this morning I took a look and found that the front bolt on the mounting plate of the stand was, well just gone !! Looked up on-line how much the Ducati ones are, about a fiver apiece sold in packets of 4 and delivery takes a week . So as I was going to do the weekly shop at our nearest town I thought I take a look in a DIY/ironmongers place to see if they could help. Bolts identical in stock and for 4 bolts for 1,40€ !!! Side stand and bike angle back to normal, all good. Dave
Got bored this afternoon so had rummage behind the TV and got the frame out for the TZ, cleaned up the swinging arm, assembled the rear shock and bolted the bits together. Still got to true up both wheels yet but got another 6/7 weeks before the fork legs come back from re-chroming so plenty of time.
Yeah, got a bit effed off with the powers that be and went into forum self isolation for a couple of weeks. Just kept on little bit at a time, trueing up the wheels is defo a black art which I'm still trying to master.
