  2. I'm no expert on Escorts or classic rallying, but seems bonkers on both counts. So altered it wins no points on originality, and why pay that money for a car that would only be competitive in low status classic rallying series?

  5. A show car that can't win concourse due to non-originality (there is some leeway) and many modifications (there is no leeway there I believe) and you would want to enter it into competitions?? Barking

  6. I sold my RS2000, bought in 1991 for £2,100 spent loads on it and sold 2 years ago for £12,000 as unfinished project (wasn't far off complete and loads of spares) I think the stock market would have done better in reality but it hurt having to let it go :(

  7. Shame as I really wanted a MK2 RS again, would even sell my garage ornament. But just cannot justify the price tag for an old escort.

  14. It wasn't my intention to make money,it's just that the floor area was rotten,so it had to be replaced at that time & one thing leads to anotherr for a full restoration project.
