We’ve been discussing on another unrelated thread What tools/spares do we carry Under the seat, a few useful suggestions have come up, what do you carry in case of breakdowns etc?
Nothing - R1 doesn't need anything, if the YR5 breaks down it will go bang, just put a 1098R on the road yesterday and re joined the RAC last week for that and the YR5
My mobile phone to ring the breakdown service, unless I go out on my custom bobber. In that case I have nuts & bolts, locking wire, spanners, Allen keys, adjustable spanner, fuses, inner cable repair kit, puncture repair kit, u-lock & 1.5Ltrs. fuel. Just in case !!
Adjustable spanner Leatherman cable ties pieces of electrical wire bits of coat hanger wire ..... ( hard to find these days ... )
I’ve got cable ties, adjustable spanner, Allen keys (actually used one recently, gear linkage pivot came loose on the M900), spare fuses, electricians tape, leatherman & standard Ducati tool kit, Also got one of these folding rucksacks, useful if you’re out and spot that bargain item that’s too big to go under your jacket, amazingly it does fold back into its palm sized bag after use! https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/324166097031
Allen keys, screwdriver, spanners, plug kit and mobile phone on my 900ss ie and the Ducati tool kit on the 996 with plug kit in rucksack because there is no room under the seat!!(And mobile).
