Anyone else find their sliders wear down in one place more than others? Is it just down to limb angle or does it tell a tale of body position and riding style?
They wear in one place but I hardly wear mine out now as I pick my leg back up as soon as they touch the ground.
Ok. Probably more your foot position. If you keep your feet square on the pegs as you lean, you’ll have cleanish square contact on your slider. Years ago I bust my right ankle working in Africa. I just strapped it up and swore a lot for the next few days. So now I’ve got a bit of a spacky foot position on the right peg. Consequently my right knee slider wear is a not uniform. I try to hold my foot squar on the peg but I always default back to spacker mode
Same here. Point the tootsies forward if you can. You can still roll your foot off the peg but keep the foot parallel with the bike
If you can get into the habit of dabbing your knee to gauge your lean angle instead of trying to gouge out the tarmac, they’ll last longer
That's kind of the question. Wondering if it's down to a 1 size fits all suit on a tall skinny guy or just because I stick my knee out funny.
Surely there is scope to move the slider On the question of style what do your pictures look like...debrief them
I have a set of sliders off a pair of Dainese trousers given to me, PM me your address and I'll post them to you. They're just in the way in my garage I keep meaning to throw them but I'm a little bit of a hoarder for things that may or may not be useful later on.
Kind offer but my suit has the velcro the wrong way round. I'm sure someone would appreciate them though.
Are you sure you’re suits not on back to front?? And btw, don’t ground the leather/Velcro. I recently did this and nearly had me leg yanked off
