Not sure if it’s the same procedure as our 1100 tanks? But pretty simple. Seat off, tank plastics off. Take guard off bottom of petrol pump, unclip the flow and return pipes by pinching in the side of the fittings ( they’re like push fit ) four bolts on Center strap under seat. You’ll probably have to in plug a couple of connectors and remove battery. I find it easier to take front mountings completely out so front of the tank can be lifted up and propped to undo the two little brackets that hold the two petrol pipes on bottom of tank. You should then be able two lift the tank forward and fish it in between wiring loom that runs either side.
Cool - thanks for a nicely-summarised report on what I've just done before checking back here My 'manual' is only £5 internet wonder, but what a load of bollocks that was! What I failed to do initially was chop the cable ties on the fuel-pump guard; that got the FFS's out of the way, and I should have removed the battery & ECU before starting, instead of halfway through. Got there there fairly easily in the end. Every time I look around this (great) bike, I want carbs and a lift-up tank...
