  1. Never followed football, apart from wimmins footy, that was ok until sports bras were invented :bucktooth:

  2. Premiership teams need major money to compete or they go up and down like yoyos. Leeds have a massive fan base that if ruthlessly monetised could help. I wish them luck, it would be a great comeback story & we all like those, but this isn't the Disney channel. Will Radrizzani & The 49ers cough up? Time will tell.

  7. I still can't forgive Leeds for the cheating, gamesmanship and outright bad sportsmanship of the Revie years.
I hope that they go straight back down again.
When Brian Clough wrote in his book how Don Revie ask him how much it would take his team to lose to Leeds?
    In a cup match.
No one tried to sue him or even threatened it. For me they're still stained with this cheating...

  11. The Revie years were legendary!

Bremner, Yorath, Gray, Madeley, Giles, Lorimer, Hunter, Reaney, Charlton, Sprake, Clarke -I can remember all their names & I'm not a football fan, they're just the memories of a little kid watching the dream team on TV!

If Revie was cheating then others were too, there's two teams in every match. But anyway its almost 40 years ago. I don't want to upset you as clearly you hold grudges a long time! LOL.

These are new players under new manager, with new owners -who bought the Elland Road stadium back! I wish them luck 'cause its going to be a hard graft.

  12. Leeds were certainly some team back then, but they were the original divers & hard bastards. Hardly the “beautiful game” under Revie. Was a long time ago though, like you say Jez

  13. Wasn't it Billy Bremner playing for Leeds last they were any good or is it further back than that even?:D

  14. Actually it turned out to be quite easy.
