  1. I think Cal has a broken wrist

  2. CC has a fractured scaphoid, didn’t catch which one but racing next week will be extremely painful if he does. Andy

  3. Oh the irony of they give him MM bike, as he is a factory paid rider, and he starts winning after being told ‘you’re out fella’

    Won’t happen, either unfortunately

  4. Scaphoid is a difficult one to heal. I hope for CC that it is not bad fracture.
He certainly does not want to risk it and aggravate it with another fall.

As for MM and his humerus fracture, this is very serious. This is what ended up Foggy's racing.
I came out in sympathy at the time and broke my left one skiing. It took a week to get an op due to swelling, pinned inside (still have the terminator arm), long immobilisation of the arm, Elbow recuperated but shoulder never fully did. Luckily the radial nerve wasn't damaged and that could be a problem for throttle and brake control.
Even if those guys are really special, and have the best surgeons & physios in the world looking after them, I would be surprised to see MM back on a bike before Sept / Oct. But, it would not be the first time MM surprises everybody.
I wish him a good recovery.

  6. Wrong thread Bradders. Get a grip man ;-)

(unless you think you have a shot at MM’s or Cal’s seat of course!)

  7. Does anyone actually know if Marquez has nerve damage though or whether it’s a clean break that can be plated? Whatever way, he will be in a hyperbaric chamber 24/7 I imagine for the next 3 weeks trying to turn a 12 week bone knitting process into a 3 week one

  8. oops!!

And I'd give it a go...

  9. According to the MotoGP news, the fracture is partially displaced which I guess is better than a displaced fracture. Andy

  10. According to the MotoGP web site, CC is having surgery to pin the small fracture to stabilise it. With pain management, the assumption is CC will be back for Friday free practice. Andy

  11. That’s an awful injury if this video is anything to go by.

  12. Nasty!!

Best electronics and tyres there are and still manages a big high side

  13. True. But physics (momentum, inertia) will always trump electronics.

  15. I bet he's back next week - I would be off work for 6 months o_O

  16. That would even hurt me a bit.

  17. I had a car pull out in front of me in Dec 2006 and bust my right humerus. I had 4 lots of surgery between then and April 2008, including intramedullary nail in and out and also plating and screws. Humerus aint a quick fix, especially the soft tissue/nerve damage that tends to be done when the bone goes.
I still only have 90% strength/mobility in most movements, with some down to maybe 50-60% and an unfortunate knock or twist can have me on painkillers for days, even after all these years.
I did this, and while it does amazing things for bone growth, it doesn't sort out the soft tissue probs.
