Good afternoon all, If i have ensured that the service history has been properly maintained is there any issue with the transfer of warranty to a new owner? If its all ok does it happen automatically or is their a paperwork process involved? Thank You
Not much help, https://www.ducati.com/gb/en/service-maintenance/ducati-warranty, as it states the warranty will be transferred to the new owner. Andy
Three service coupon Three service coupons must be used to ensure continued validity of the conventional warranty Ducati offers consumers: at 1,000 km (or six months), 12,000 km (or 12 months) and 24,000 km (or 24 months), to be performed by any official Ducati workshop. In the case of the Hypermotard, Hypermotard SP and Hyperstrada bikes, starting with model year 2013, service coupons are for 1,000 km (or six months), 15,000 km (or 12 months) and 30,000 km (or 24 months). I copied and pasted this, what does it mean with reference to the above? I had the 600 mile service and the annual service at about 3500
If you have owned the bike for less than 24 months and your two services were carried out at 600 miles or 6 moths and the annual service at 7.5k miles or 12 months from purchase (there is a reasonable leeway here but not months or high 100s of miles) you are good to go. Did you enrol in My Ducati ? You can let Ducati know the bike has been sold through that, then your buyer needs to let Ducati know they have bought it. I looked at my extended warranty paperwork and that clearly states the warranty is attached to the bike, not the owner. Hope this helps. Andy
