I've been wondering about this. If Rossi at the end of the year is beaten by Marquez, Pedrosa and Lorenzo - and maybe even Cal - will he just call it a day? The guy is a legend, but on equal machinery, at the moment, he can't keep up with Lorenzo, let alone the Hondas. I wouldn't be surprised to see a Rossi retirement at the end of the season - and that would free up an official Yam for Cal. He can't blame Ducati this year.
Had to watch this time on iPlayer instead of Eurosport as I was away at a hotel. The little pre-race features are nice but the commentators are just damn ignorant - I couldn't believe the lack of insight and the number of mistakes. They were pronouncing Jerez with a 'z' rather than a 'th' for goodness sake - and continued to do so even after they had heard MM, JL and other Spaniards pronounce it properly. I'd expect more from the BBC. I really hope BT do a better job next year. I am SO going to miss Eurosport
i fear the front is no longer his place.. for a man of his status, he's getting clobbered and has lost all cred as a top runner.. i fear his biggest added value to the sport as of this year will be to fill the grandstands...
Agree...and MM will take over in doing that next yr! Cal needs to press on and make a case for hat seat, but unless he ups his PR skills I cant see Yam having 2 boring guys who dont sell caps onboard
TBH I like Crutchlow AND his attitude. He has the pace, defo the skill....just needs a factory Yamaha or Honda. Bring it on. The Honda is SO fast I think Cal would be a winner this season if he was on one. IMO. As to Rossi, I wonder about the after effects of Simmo and what goes through VRs head after several big offs of his own and being involved in the Marco crash....for sure he isn't his former self and my feeling is his head isn't in the right place. I just hope Stoner doesn't come back. Super fast or not, he was so fekin unlikeable and boring!
but stoner was as aggressive as hell on a bike and a joy to behold riding on the raggedy edge.....and thats what does the real talking lol !!
