It's Raining - Motorway Or Coast Road - 2.5 Hours Or 4 On My 1198

  1. Weather has taken a turn this weekend and I need to decide to take the motorway out of Cornwall to Portishead nr Bristol or take my favourite coast road.

The motorway is 2.5 hours and the coast road is 4 hours as it's slower

I can't call in sick so I have to go (family)

Just thought it'd be interesting to hear your witty comments

  3. Debbie says:

    ...be pure, take a tour
Along the coast, don't strain your brain
Cornwall to Bristol, you'll be singing in the rain
And don't stop to the punk rock...

  4. If you must use the motorway then it's car time or use your BMW motorbike, if you must use your 1198 then it's your favourite road.

  5. Take the car would be my advice. 4 hrs in the rain on an 1198? Not for me ta!

  6. if you will be on a bike. the motorway.
Generally safer as the traffic goes one one direction and there are no crossroads.
Plus they are usually better engineered to remove the water from the road.
Take the coast on the way back.

Time wont matter if you stuff it because of deep water... or someone stuffs you.

  7. I think I would hire a van :)
