Strange one that one. It’s numbered which indicates a gen 2 748R from 2002 on but has gen 1 side fairings
Not really. My Ohlins 748R is an 02MY but registered in late 2001 and has the earlier fairings. The odd thing for me is that it is a 2001 and red. Remember the recent early 748R highlighted that was originally yellow but was painted red because that was what the owner wanted. Andy
I learn something every day. I always thought the Gen1 748Rs had no numbered plaque and the vented fairings (as per my avatar) and that the Gen 2 ones were numbered and had the 2002 slab side fairings off the 998 and 996R. I never knew there was a crossover one. Thanks for that.

Hmm, with a production run of 2000 i believe, absolutely gorgeous i know but at £15k- £16k are about £5k overpriced imo.
