Got a bit of time today when Mrs Ex went to town and sent Chad the header pipe bend radii so hopefully he can do the segmented Ti bends soon ...here’s a little pic to go with my non event story
Well, after a sabbatical for a month with the Czech part of the family here and a couple of weeks playing with my MV I finally have some movement again - last night in the pub my stepped top yoke was delivered This will give me a little extra adjustment for the fork height which may or may not be needed - just building in adjustment everywhere possible...
It was done through a mate of a mate - one guy has his own Dyno in his garage and another has a CNC milling machine in his, surprising what people have in suburbia I paid mates rates of £20 for the CAD and £200 for the Yoke including material
Polished aluminium has to have holes in it otherwise it is not 100% aesthetically pleasing and it is not as light as it could be.
It’s staying with the milled finish, I was contemplating holes but more period correct as it is, unlike the suspension and wheels
A final adjustment to the belly pan and the initial dry build was complete - just stripped the bike. Next is a mod to one of the engine mounts for aesthetic reasons and then shipping the frame and engine to Hull for the start of the Ti exhaust manufacture at Chads
