Not sure, might belong to a "Steve", a flight simulator software engineer. Popular there, wish i'd gone now.
Excellent Ducati meet at Newlands corner today, Richard is the perfect man to run it, organise it, host it.
You missed me making an arse of myself while paddling my bike out of the Newlands Corner parking zone! A turning circle of the Queen Mary meant a bit of to-ing and fro-ing and I lost my footing/balance and nearly dropped it... rescued by a quick thinking guy who kept me sunny side up! A huge thank you to whoever it was for saving my bike and limiting my embarrassment....! I owe someone some beers
You've reminded me of a time some 10 years ago at Boxhill: A lovely chap on his 888 or 851 was doing similar/setting off but he had some Sidi boots that were probably his "old favourites" (i'm guilty of doing the same) and the sole decided to part company with the boot but stayed attached at the heel at the same time as the bike stalled. looking back, I can't remember why he didn't just brake but it was a heart-stopping few seconds as he nearly dropped his immaculate bike at around 5 mph. Another excellent save!
I think I qualified for the 'dick of the match' award again - the last one was mid-eighties during a rugby friendly where I received a pretty shoddy pass out to me on the wing and my immediate response was to chuck the ball in the air and get out of dodge...!
I think you are probably right! I met so many new names on the day that I struggled a little. were you on the ride out? I was on the Multi/tail end Charlie.
I think the 900ss might been the 600ss parked one bike down from the super light? The other ss there was my 750.
no, it was a 900SS for sure, cheeky monkey! - it's not like mixing a name up LoL. Quite a few bikes turned up after I arrived, possibly as many as 8.
