Hey guys so i am looking at a v4s the seller is asking 24500 GBP it is a 2020 model has marchesini forged wheels akro exhaust with remap 650 miles, could anyone tell me if this is a decent deal? also how much would this bike depreciate in say 4 years someone try'd to tell me the v4s will go up in value but it was a dealer assumed he is just trying to sell me the bike
It will only go one way in value for the next 30 years and that is down. In 4 years, depending on milage, 50 % I should think.
Agree with this apart from the 30 years, usually 15 for Ducati’s and less for R models. Seems expensive to me too, they are asking true value + full price for the pipe
my friend took me there don't even know where it was lol i best wait then i guess for a better deal to show up i see some selling for just 2k less standard more miles so i assumed it was a good price
also i have been offered a panigale 1299s 2600 miles for 13k... but i really want the v4 lol not sure if it's a smart choice
If it’s a V4S you’re after there should be some decent deals to be had now. A tidy 2018 (with akra/termi) will have dropped a good chunk. Shop around
Subtle changes to fairings and if wings are your thang?? Also calmed down a bit with electronics... I’ve got a 2018 with evo 2 software upgrade. Love it. The new one doesn’t tempt me at all.
Brand new one here with free Akro's for less??? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/DUCATI-P...791481?hash=item2f3ee70939:g:rH4AAOSw~atb4UGh
Smart money if you want a recent Pani and depreciation is on your mind is to go for a 2015 onwards Panigale R, they haven't dropped in value in over a year now
Monetary value - you will lose severely. With the women - especially with a full system and Upmap, you will be drowning in a river of vajayjay...... So it’s all swings and roundabouts....
buy a 999r now and then bank the profit in 2 years when you buy your new thingy for much less than the >20k asking price today
Hi and welcome. Get what floats your boat first and foremost. Then, if depreciation is a concern cut your cloth. If you really want a v4 have you thought about safeguarding the future value by taking out a PCP on a new one for example? PS. I sold my V4s and bought a Pani R which for me was the right choice on so many levels.
IMO, overpriced. To my mind all they have offered is to offset the full retail cost of the Akrapovic and lower fairings against the VAT on the full retail of a new bike. Whilst the launch of the updated 2020 model certainly affected second hand prices, you need to look at 4 year old prices of some of the competition, the Honda Fireblade would have dropped by more than half the purchase price, the BMW S1000RR would have dropped by less but still 40% to 50%.
