What is the longest journey members have done on their scrambler . Mine was in 2018 , rode from Bristol to Hardewijk in the Netherlands for the motogp at Assen left at 8am , arrived at 6pm total distance approx 425 miles , first stop at Bracknell , then at the channel tunnel , next stop somewhere near Breda , and 2 other stops on the way , total distance covered 1000 miles in 3 days .
5020 miles door to door although it did take me six weeks at a very leisurely pace! There is a small thread on it somewhere..
That thread was a fantastic and very entertaining read just ahead of going on a European bike tour myself. Need to get this covid thing sorted so Chizel can bring us the next instalment.....
Some geezer went round the world on one, just coz he could - top bikes really Chiz's thread is the benchmark though
It was fun that's for sure. Hopefully the next instalment will be set in NZ. I would love it to be in the UK so as to catch up with some folk offa here and see more of this beautifull land. No, I'm not joking, there is some lovely places and nice roads here. Yes, they may be few and far between but lovely none the less. Yes, I am drinking but I mean it man...
I did 1440 miles on my Classic up to Scotland and back one weekend in 2015. And never touched a motorway once.
In a moment of madness/extreme boredom, I have just spent 2 hours reading my entire European trip thread thingy... lol... some of it is quite entertaining. Proof that fun can be had on a scrambler for sure. They are good bikes.
