Had a trip up to Haddington to buy a trials bike then went to North Berwick where my lad had a swim in the sea and found this little critter in a rock pool. Lovely day out but the roadworks on the A1 are a nightmare in the van.
A flawed genius but magnificent when on form. I've seen him live at the crucible a few times and when he's on it, he's truly breathtaking. But Eurosport definitely made a boo boo. It's definitely 19 ranking titles he has. Although from what I heard, he's giving this year's tournament a miss and in all honesty, if I was worth 11 million quid I'd ride out all this COVID rubbish too.
Bought a 2010 Beta Evo 250 was looking for something newer but this came up at the right money and it’s only been used for messing about on so an ideal upgrade for my old Rev 3. I’m looking for a 125 for my lad as he’s outgrown his 80 but the 125’s seem to get a hard life so by spending less on the 250 means I’ll be able to get a newer bike for him. I’ll put a picture up when I get it out of the van.
Club member at my trials club is selling his lads GasGas 125 wants 1650 for it as his Son is moving up to expert level, it’s been looked after as he’s a motorbike mechanic he offered it to me but my lad wants to keep his Sherco for now. Paid £700 for my lads Sherco had to fettle the carbs and replace the fork seals and fit a new graphics kit, you’re right though 125’s do get ridden hard. I didn’t want a spangly newer bike as he’d worry about scratching it too much to try harder sections. I have a 2005 rev3 doubt I’ll ever upgrade as I just mess about on White routes whilst my lad tries the non expert.
I’m looking for a Beta as we have a Beta dealership in town and they have been great helping us out with advice and spares etc so going to stick with the brand. The only thing I find odd is the left side kick start but you do get used to it. The 80 has been great but he’s only eleven and it’s too small for him now. ACU regs mean that he can’t compete on a 125 until he’s twelve so just going to use it for practice until his birthday in January then I’ll be wobbling round following him on the big course. Honestly, the Rev3 is a great bike and I hadn’t intended to change mine but the Evo came up at decent money so I thought I’d give it a go although I doubt I’ll get much chance to ride it as boyo buggered off on it for a test ride and thought it was easier to ride than his 80 ..........
Yeah your right blink and you'll miss it,full throttle all the way & he's nothing left to prove to anybody.
Oh right we ride the AMCA regs, the ACU trials we found too difficult when we started trials and have stuck to the AMCA courses. My lad found my 250 too heavy the one day he was forced to ride it as his had a mechanical.
